Jenny Beverly is an immigration attorney that specializes in political asylum cases. She has been working on asylum cases since 2010. She is admitted to practice in Maine and the United States District Court/District of Maine. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Coming from a family of refugees, Jenny is especially cognizant of the stress new immigrants can face in the United States. The U.S. legal immigration system is full of pitfalls and barriers which make it difficult to navigate for new Americans. Jenny’s goal is to provide guidance and advice to help you navigate through this complex system.

She earned a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). During law school, Jenny worked as a Student Attorney at the Refugee and Human Rights Clinic and as a legal assistant to private immigration attorneys in Portland. She also extensively volunteered her time to the Portland, ME immigrant community to organize events and raise funds, earning her the Maine State Bar Association Pro Bono Student Award. She has since been recognized as a Katahdin counsel for her pro bono work in Maine.

Jenny currently volunteers on the boards of the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project and The Children’s Center.
